About

Andrew in Paris

The Man: Andrew Chisholm, born in1984 at Charlottetown’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital, is just your average Joe. His family tree grows in a middle-class forest with its roots reaching to Nova Scotia, Isles de la Madeleine, and St. Peter’s Bay. His early years were spent in Little York, a small farming community east of Charlottetown. School was never much of a priority which was evident when he dropped out of high school. At the age of 19 he moved to Halifax where his stay would last a year but the benefits would last a life time. Upon returning to Prince Edward Island, Andrew started looking for a way to brighten his future. He eventually took a stab at the national GED test and to his surprise, he passed with flying colours.  Using his GED as a foundation, Andrew enrolled himself into a couple of academic upgrade classes to prepare himself for post-secondary education. Although his spelling is horrible and he still makes grammatical errors, Andrew will start training at Holland College in 2009 – entering as an academic student with an academic high school diploma – to become a journalist.

boomer The Myth: There is no myth. What you heard is no doubt true. Andrew does have a tattoo of Kevin “Boomer” Gallant on his leg and he did put his name on a federal ballot as Charlottetown’s Marijuana Party of Canada candidate – he got 194 votes. Actually, there is one thing you might hear about Andrew that is a myth, he’s not a pot head – he stopped smoking marijuana three weeks before Canada’s 2006 General Election because it started causing him anxiety. Go figure.

The Plan: Andrew has expressed interest in running for Charlottetown city council, although his current priorities are to finish school and continue building a relationship with his girlfriend. He also wants to get in better shape, which has been one of his priorities since he lost 130 pounds.

The Purpose: This blog has no purpose except to be a wasteland of Andrew’s opinions.

The GoodKid: Andrew has owned TheGoodKid.com for years. He bought the domain to continue a running joke with his cousin, Charlie, who often told him that he was a good kid after watching Chris Rock’s movie Down to Earth. Silly, he knows, but it’s catchy. Also, TheGoodKid.com was once a social networking site built by Andrew and his friend pre MySpace days. Too bad it never went public.
