Web Database Applications and Me

October 5th, 2008

After returning to Prince Edward Island from my brief move to Calgary, I discovered that the government was willing to give me more money than any of the jobs I could hope to qualify for in Charlottetown. I find myself now on unemployment making more money doing nothing than I made at On-Line Support (raises included). Sitting around with nothing to do has never been an option for me. I have worked a full-time job since I was fifteen, present situation being the only exception, but now that I have all this free time I am finally able to embark into the world of creation. I can finally start to unload the ideas in my head and hopefully transform them into something great.

Last week I picked up a book which I am using to re-teach myself PHP and MySQL (computer language used for designing web applications). So-far everything is going good. I have managed to teach myself how to map out each component and how all components will work with each other. I have not started the coding or design as of yet but I hope to start that within two weeks. I would tell you all what it is that I am hoping to build but then I would have to kill each and everyone of you. I will, however, keep everyone up-to date on my progress.

Oh, before I hit publish I would like to point out that I am actively seeking employment. I figured I would mention that on the off-chance that someone from Service Canada trolls on by.

From Scratch

I decided that it was time I clear out the old database and start my blog from scratch. Expect some ranting any day now.
